Direct Care Workers (Home Care Support)



Mitchell Community Health Service (MCHS) is a vibrant multi-disciplinary organisation providing extensive health and social support services to communities within the Mitchell and Murrindindi Shires that adjoin northern metropolitan Melbourne.

 

Vacancies exists for part time Direct Care Workers in the Home Care Unit. The Home Care Unit is seeking people who will be required to undertake a range of duties including household tasks, respite care and the provision of personal care tasks to clients within the Mitchell Shire.  

To undertake the duties of a Direct Care Worker within the Mitchell Shire, the successful applicants will be motivated and enthusiastic and hold a current Certificate III in Aged Care / Home and Community Care, or equivalent.

A Direct Care Worker will be expected to work at least 15 hours per week and on at least three days per week. New Direct Care staff are guaranteed a minimum of 10 hours pay per week for the first three months.
