Planned Activity Group
Planned Activity Groups provide an opportunity for social interaction through group and communal activities outside the home. Planned Activity Groups also play an important role in providing respite and support for carers.
The planned activities are designed to meet individual needs of clients and enhance the skills required for daily living by providing physical, intellectual, emotional and social stimulation. Mitchell Community Health provides the following Planned Activity Groups:
| Kilmore Group |
Meets every Tuesday at our Broadford centre. |
| Wallan Group |
Meets every Wednesday at the Wallan Multi-Purpose centre. |
| Broadford Group |
Meets every Friday at our Broadford centre. |
| Dementia and High Needs Group |
Meets every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at the Wallan Multi-Purpose centre. |
* High Needs Group - This group is designed to meet the specific needs of those with dementia and their carers. The group operates three days per week with staff trained to respond to individual client's needs.
Transport can be arranged for all groups.
